Floors that start with the subfloor
New flooring telegraphs every bump underneath it. We assess moisture, flatness, and squeaks before the first board or tile is set. Self-leveling compounds, plywood overlays, and proper underlayment are specified when needed — not offered as surprise add-ons mid-project.
Transition strips between rooms and at exterior doors are planned early so thresholds sit flush with no tripping lips.
Material-specific installation standards
Hardwood acclimates on site. Tile gets proper thinset coverage and movement joints at perimeters. LVP receives manufacturer-approved underlayment and expansion gaps at walls. Each system has different tolerances — we follow the spec sheet, not shortcuts.
Whether you are updating a kitchen, finishing a basement, or replacing water-damaged flooring after a leak repair, we coordinate with prior trades so surfaces are dry and ready on install day.
